It
is the volatile oil from fruits of Piper
nigrum P. (black pepper).
The chief constituents are sabinene, pinene, Phellandrene
Caryophyllene, etc. Mainly used as condiments, in foods
and also have various medicinal applications. The oil
stimulates the endocrine system and helps increase energy.
It is supportive to the digestive glands and has been
used traditionally for rheumatoid arthritis.
